Thumbs up Marmoset Engine's Habitat & Toolbag Released!

Download Darkest of Days tools here: http://www.8monkeylabs.com/dodtools_100.exe

Included you will find:

Habitat The level editor.
Toolbag An art tool for previewing and editing meshes, animations, particles, and more.
Maya plugin For exporting meshes, skeletons, and animations from Autodesk Maya.
Cagebreak For expanding the game data files and generally making things editable.

We have included some basic documentation, but it is far from complete. 8monkey is not in a position to support these tools in any official capacity whatsoever, so don't go calling tech support or something if you get stuck. Make sure to look at the habitat readme file after you install, it details how to use cagebreak to make your copy of the game editable, and the tools usable. The tools will not work until cagebreak is run. So yea, check the readme.

We urge you discuss the tools here in the fourms. Us developer types will be listening in, and while we can't promise to answer all questions right away, we'll try to help out.

Having not opened the level editor in a while, I've been having fun playing with it again these last few days while getting the release ready. It really is fun to tinker with this game We hope you enjoy it!

I'm exicited to play around with these.

However, I'm a little peeved that the installer doesn't expressly tell you to install the tools into your game directory. It should also be able to automatically read the install path from the registry.

Dev tools arent supposed to be user friendly

Any chance of a 3dsMax plugin? I have a couple of WW1 aircraft models that might make a fun Zeppelin mission: man the existing MGs to shoot down the attacking aircraft.

It wont work with me i can get in the main menu but when i click on some tools it says the program dosen't work and then i have to exit the tool program WHY
